Canopy Medical Services
Covering your event, protecting your people
Trusted as a best-in-class medical cover team for event first aid throughout the Home Counties.
Canopy Medical Services are dedicated to caring for the heart of an event, its people.
We help professional organisers of medium-sized events excel in their duty of care and support them before, during, and after the event. Based in Hook, we’re ideally placed to deliver first aid services for events in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Care for Events
Event first aid requirements can be complex. There are legal, financial, reputational and moral considerations to understand and risk-assess, but having someone on site who is medically trained to provide first aid and care is crucial. In fact, for most events it’s a legal requirement for your insurance.
Canopy Medical Services pride ourselves on offering first class, professional and reliable services. Run by a team of trained medical professionals, we offer you peace of mind and confidence that everyone at your event will be safe and well cared for.
First Aid, Covered
First aid is a vital skill – something absolutely everyone should know. Because you never know when an accident will happen, and when it will be down to you to help. Sometimes it could be as simple as a scraped knee, a sprained wrist, or something more serious like an allergic reaction or even a heart attack. Knowing what to do in those situations could help save someone’s life.
Our first aid training courses cover everything you need to know, from basic community first aid skills, to bespoke first aid at work training, and paediatric first aid.

How we work
In any event.. we’ll look after you
Being a best-in class medical cover team starts well before the event, with careful planning and collaboration with our clients to ensure we are fully prepared for all eventualities on the day. Our typical event day often sees us on the road from 5AM, ensuring we’re on site well in time to assess and set up. It’s our job to communicate efficiently with the organisers, we’re all one team for that day.
Whatever the day brings, you can be assured of our calm reliability, and we’ll always be there for you after the event as well, to give you feedback and add value for the next event to make it even better, and even safer.
Our story
A true vocation to be there for people in their moment of need
The story of Canopy Medical Services begins with our founder, Jules, but has grown into a team with a strong culture of togetherness, based on maintaining our high standards. Jules has worked as a medically qualified professional in the NHS for over 13 years, from A&E depts to special care baby units – but the majority of her time was spent in the ambulance service, along with some time running private ambulance services. She’s also been a business owner, previously running her own admin services company and now a mental health focussed CIC. This gives her commercial perspective. She’ll talk your language, not baffle you with medical jargon!
The Canopy team covers all the critical skills for dealing with incidents from minor scrapes to emergencies.
Emergency Care Assistants: With foundational patient assessment skills for initial treatment of traumatic injuries, oxygen therapy and the use of Automated External Defibrillators. Trained to recognise major illnesses, traumatic injuries, and the need for spinal immobilisation. Most Care Assistants can administer medication, dependant on your insurance.
Ambulance Technicians: Clinical decision-makers with intermediate assessment skills, treatment of traumatic injuries, treatment of major illnesses and administration of medication.
Nurses: Our Nurses and Advanced Nurse Practitioners are Health Care Professionals registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. They are able to provide advanced care which can include wound gluing and suturing wounds, if needed.
Paramedics: Health Care Professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Paramedics bring the hospital into the field with enhanced patient assessment, cannulation, drug therapy, Advanced Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, some surgical techniques and are able to administer advanced medication on their own initiative.
Doctors: Qualified emergency HEMS doctors (Air Ambulance) with advanced field trauma knowledge. Their roles are both in preparation for the event, and where necessary to attend high-risk events e.g., where there is a risk of head injury requiring sedation.
With years of practice in the field, our team is perfectly placed to help. We’re always up to date with the latest techniques and equipment, regularly underdoing new and refresher training to make sure we offer the best care possible, with the most up to date information.
Why do we do all this? Because we genuinely care about the health, safety, and comfort of everyone. Our brand reminds us of that every day (we designed it as a team, with input from everyone). It represents people joining together, creating structure and protection our patients can trust, to provide the individualised care they need.
Our mission is to assemble the best possible medical cover team and bring the highest level of professionalism to event first aid and training. Reach out, we’re here to help.
